2 police officers injured during arrest of knife attacker in Colorado Springs

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado (KKTV) – Two officers and a suspect were injured during an arrest attempt Wednesday night.

Just before 8:30 p.m., police were called to the 900 block of Zamora Circle for a stabbing. When officers arrived on scene, several witnesses led them to a nearby RV where they suspected someone was hiding.

The suspect attempted to fight off police, resulting in two officers sustaining minor injuries. During the scuffle, the suspect was tasered. Officers were eventually able to arrest the suspect and take him to the county jail on several charges. The identities of the two have not been determined.

The victim was found stabbed in the chest. Officers performed life-saving aid on scene until the victim could be transported to the hospital. His injuries were described as serious; it is unknown if they are life-threatening.

The police have not disclosed what the relationship between the suspected victim and the suspect is.
