Bus crash in Banke: Death toll rises to three as another person dies during treatment (Update) – myRepublica

NEPLGUNJ, Aug 29: Another person has died among those injured in the bus accident in Ganapur, Banke. Spokesperson of the Banke District Police Office and Deputy Superintendent of Police Narayan Dangi said that Bimal Rai, 30, of Ghorahi, Dang, has died.

Rai, who was seriously injured in the accident, died during treatment at Kohalpur Medical College Teaching Hospital in Nepalgunj.

Earlier, Man Bahadur Oli, 60, of Tulsipur, Dang, and Santosh Bhusal, 24, of Tulsipur, who were seriously injured in the accident, died at Bheri Hospital.

The passenger bus with registration number Bhe 1 Kha 2128, travelling from Tulsipur, Dang to Nepalgunj, was involved in an accident on Thursday around noon.

25 of the injured are being treated in Nepalgunj and Kohalpur.

According to spokesman Dangi, 21 of the injured are being treated at Bheri Hospital and the remaining four at Kohalpur Medical College Teaching Hospital in Nepalgunj. One of the injured, who was being treated at Nepalgunj Medical College Teaching Hospital, has already been discharged.

After the accident, the driver was taken into police custody.
