Kentville Street, Mitchelton: Tragic twist after two people found dead in suburban home as concerned neighbours reveal disturbing new details

Two people were found dead in a house in Brisbane occupied by a single mother and two young children.

Shortly before 9 a.m. on Thursday, emergency services were called to a residential building on Kentville Street in the northwest suburb of Mitchelton.

Several police officers and a man in a blue protective suit were seen entering the property.

Neighbours told Daily Mail Australia that a single mother and two primary school-aged children lived in the house, which is owned by the Queensland government.

They said the community was “praying” that the children – who often play in the yard – were not injured.

They said they had not heard or seen anything unusual in the area in the past 24 hours and were shocked when police surrounded the street on Thursday morning.

The resident stated that he had previously heard of fights on the property.

A Queensland Police spokesman said officers were “investigating the sudden deaths of two people in Mitchelton this morning.”

“At around 8:50 a.m., emergency crews were called to a residential building on Kentville Street,” the spokesman said.

“The scene has been designated a crime scene and an investigation into the cause of death is ongoing.”

The man in the protective suit was later seen being escorted into a car by detectives after he left the property.

No charges were filed.
