Woman charged with stabbing in Hanover

A 36-year-old woman is facing charges following a stabbing on Tuesday evening in Hanover.

Police were called along with Grey County paramedics to the scene at an apartment in the 500 block of 10.^th Avenue.

A man was found with a stab wound and was taken to Hanover District Hospital for stab wounds to the face and neck and later released from the hospital.

A 36-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested at the scene. Both the victim and the suspect knew each other.

The defendant was charged with assault with a weapon, aggravated assault and four counts of probation violation.
