NYSP: Motorcyclist fights for his life after accident on I-490

ROCHESTER, NY — A motorcyclist is fighting for his life after crashing into a railing on westbound I-490 Wednesday evening.

According to the New York State Police, the motorcyclist crashed around 8:30 p.m. east of the Frederick Douglass-Susan B. Anthony Memorial Bridge. Police said the motorcyclist suffered serious, life-threatening injuries and was taken by ambulance to Strong Memorial Hospital.

State police said they are still in the early stages of investigating how the accident occurred.
