SM Entertainment denies speculation that Taeil's sexual assault was “covered up”

SM Entertainment denies speculation that Taeil's sexual assault was “covered up”

A representative of SM entertainment has come clean and refuted ongoing speculation that former NCT member Taeil's sex offender case was “covered up” for about two months.

In response to Seoul Bangbae Police Station's comment on August 29 KST that a female victim reported Taeil for a sexual offense in June, SME said: “Both SM Entertainment and Taeil were notified of the criminal investigation in mid-August. Taeil was then summoned for questioning on August 28 KST.”

According to the agency's statement, police received the criminal complaint in June but did not notify the suspect of the investigation until August.
