Lake City man allegedly fled from police with gun

LAKE CITY, SC (WPDE) — A man is in custody accused of firing a gun on McClam Street in Lake City's Deep River neighborhood and fleeing the scene after police officers arrived, according to Lake City Police Chief Patrick Miles.

Miles said the man ran into a relative's house, where he was arrested.

He added that no one was injured in the incident.

Miles said investigators are currently working to determine what charges should be filed against the man.

His name has not been released yet.

He is being held at the Florence County Detention Center.
