Police motorcycle accident interrupts Harris-Walz motorcade in Georgia

A police motorcycle apparently crashed on the route of the motorcade of Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz (D-MN) in Georgia, causing the buses to come to a standstill.

A person was seen on the sidewalk with blood everywhere, according to a Secret Service report on the incident. Another person, possibly a police officer, was tending to the person who was lying on the ground. What injuries he sustained is unknown.

According to the report, the motorcycle appeared to have gone out of control and there was no collision with any object. The motorcade stopped for three minutes before leaving a large white bus that had been part of the motorcade at the side of the road.

The motorcade reached the Vice President's hotel at about 7:40 p.m., where she got out, said “good night everyone,” and went inside, followed by Walz.

Harris and Walz are on a two-day bus tour of the state, visiting Savannah State University, the state's oldest public HBCU.
