Charlie Sheen gives Lindsay Lohan his paycheck for “Scary Movie”

Charlie Sheen has donated all the money he earned from his appearance in Scary Movie 5, including a large sum to troubled actress Lindsay Lohan.

The Hollywood fanatic earned a whopping $250,000 (£156,000) for a single day's work on the film, which is due to be released in the UK in April next year.

But according to US gossip site TMZ, the man who was once the highest-paid actor on TV donated the entire amount, with $100,000 (£62,000) of it going to his friend and co-star Lindsay Lohan to help her pay off a $230,000 (£143,000) tax bill.

Of the gift, Sheen's rep told The Wrap: “Charlie has a long history of helping his friends in many ways and this is just another example of that.”

The rest of the money went to three unnamed charities selected by the film's director, Malcolm D. Lee, and some of the film's producers.

When he starred in the sitcom Two And A Half Men, Sheen earned a staggering $2 million (£1.24 million) per episode, but he was fired after publicly falling out with the show's producer and co-creator Chuck Lorre.

But now he is back on television in the new show “Anger Management”.

He will also star in Roman Coppola's new film “A Glimpse Inside The Mind Of Charles Swan III” and is rumored to play the President of the United States in Robert Rodriguez's “Machete Kills.”
