Four dead and ten injured in van accident in Wise County

ALVORD, Texas (KXII) – Four people died and ten others were injured in a car crash Wednesday morning in Alvord.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a pickup truck carrying 14 people was traveling north on US-287 when the driver left the road, oversteered and overturned.

Several passengers were thrown out of the van.

Three occupants of the van, including the driver, were pronounced dead at the scene, three were flown to hospital with critical injuries, seven other passengers were taken to hospital by ambulance with non-serious injuries and another passenger was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

One of the passengers was pronounced dead in hospital.
