JD Vance launches insane attack on Kamala Harris: Go to hell

Republican vice presidential candidate JD Vance said during a campaign rally on Wednesday that Vice President Kamala Harris “can go to hell,” while angrily condemning her as “disgraceful.”

Vance was asked about the brewing controversy surrounding the Trump campaign's involvement in a confrontation at Arlington National Cemetery over the use of campaign staff during a photo op, which may have violated federal law.

The cemetery released a statement regarding the alleged altercation between Trump's team and the cemetery official. “Federal law prohibits political campaign or election activities at Army National Cemetery military cemeteries, including photographers, content creators, or others present there for the purposes of or in direct support of the campaign of a partisan political candidate,” the statement said. “Arlington National Cemetery has affirmed and widely shared this law and its prohibitions with all participants.”

Vance was in Erie, Pennsylvania, on the campaign trail and answered questions after his remarks. Asked about the controversy, he dismissed it as a media fabrication. Vance continued, “What our veterans care about much more is that three years ago, 13 brave, innocent Americans died, and they died because Kamala Harris refused to do her job.”

“And there was not a single investigation or firing. I don't know. I don't know, look, sometimes mistakes happen. That's just the nature of government, the nature of military service. But that these 13 Americans lost their lives and not a single person was fired is a disgrace. Kamala Harris is a disgrace. We're going to talk about a story of these 13 brave, innocent Americans who lost their lives. Kamala Harris is so asleep at the wheel that she doesn't even want to do an investigation into what happened. And she wants to yell at Donald Trump for showing up. She can do that. She can go to hell!” concluded the senator from Ohio.

Michael Eric Dyson, an author and Trump critic, appeared on CNN shortly after Vance's remarks and was asked to give his opinion. “Yeah, I mean, the level of disrespect cannot be overlooked. The normalization of this kind of vulgar rhetoric is problematic in itself. The disgrace of a vice presidential candidate speaking in such terms about a presidential candidate is problematic,” Eric Dyson said, adding:

Second, Mr. Trump is trying to distract from all reports about him by calling them “losers” and “suckers.” The fisticuffs at Arlington, which are indecent to say the least, distract us from the fact that this man has shown no deep respect for the military.

As far as fighting Vice President Harris and being concerned about that issue, it's legitimate to ask questions, have conversations, talk about what happened, who was there, and the like. But the lack of decency itself is a bigger story than any kind of conflict they might have to endure.
