Travis Kelce stays silent on foiled terror attack on Taylor Swift as New Heights returns – amid claims he spent ‘hours’ consoling her on the phone

If there is more to be known about the alleged terrorist attack on Taylor Swift in Austria, her boyfriend Travis Kelce is not saying anything.

Swift's boyfriend did not mention the planned attack when he returned to his podcast “New Heights” on Wednesday, although the Kansas City Chiefs tight end spent “hours” consoling her on the phone earlier this month, according to an earlier report in the Sun.

A 19-year-old man and two younger teenagers were arrested. They were accused of planning a suicide attack on one of their three planned shows in Vienna. Police later found Islamic State propaganda material during a raid on a house.

“Travis was very quick to get in touch with Taylor and spoke to her for a while to show her his support and see how she was feeling in this tense situation,” a source told The Sun earlier this month.

Despite being intimately familiar with the situation, Kelce did not address the issue with his brother Jason on Wednesday's episode of “New Heights.”

As the Sun reported, Kelce spent the hours after the concerts were canceled comforting his girlfriend.

“He always has one of his phones right next to him when he goes to sleep in case she wants to talk to him, and they actually spent some long hours on the phone yesterday because this is not an everyday situation and he always wants to be Taylor's rock and her number one fan and supporter no matter what,” the source said.

“He was relieved that the concerts were cancelled, as this is the best decision in such a context. He even suggested flying to Austria to be there for her if she wanted, even if it was only for a day or two, but Taylor will continue working and focus on the next dates, with the concert in London to conclude the European part in the best possible way.”

Authorities said they also found Islamic State and Al-Qaeda material in the home of the second suspect, a 17-year-old man. The suspect, who has so far refused to speak, was employed a few days ago by an unnamed company that provided services at the concert venue.

The main suspect confessed to having planned the attack in July, the authorities said. Just a few weeks ago, the 19-year-old uploaded an oath of loyalty to the current leader of the terrorist militia Islamic State on the Internet.

The concert organizers in Vienna expected up to 30,000 spectators in front of the stadium and 65,000 fans with tickets for the three sold-out shows.

While only Travis is preparing to play in the NFL this season, he and his recently retired brother Jason just signed a lucrative three-year deal worth $100 million to bring their popular podcast to Amazon.
