Brookline, MA police officer John Bradley faces disciplinary action – NBC Boston

A police officer from Brookline, Massachusetts, is facing disciplinary action for a high-speed accident earlier this year, authorities said.

In February, Officer John Bradley rammed a car on Hammond Street in Chestnut Hill. Both Bradley and the 74-year-old driver he hit were hospitalized with serious injuries, police said.

The investigation revealed that Bradley was not wearing a seatbelt and was traveling at nearly 98 miles per hour five seconds before the crash. Bradley said he was attempting to conduct a traffic stop at the time.

The Brookline News reported that Bradley was charged with speeding and other traffic violations.

Brookline police confirmed that his conduct during the accident violated the police regulations, which require police officers to drive vehicles “safely and sensibly.”

The case is still pending in the city's disciplinary proceedings.
