Local police authorities have filed charges in three drug incidents that spanned several days.

A drug trafficking investigation in Jamestown ended with a traffic stop and a search warrant.

On Wednesday, drug agents from the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, Dunkirk Police Department and Jamestown Police Department executed a search warrant at 340 Baker Street shortly after Jamestown Police Department stopped 48-year-old Dwight Leeper of Jamestown near his residence.

Police seized 26.35 grams of cocaine, as well as scales and packaging materials that police said were intended for the sale and distribution of narcotics. Leeper was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. Leeper was arraigned on those charges in Jamestown City Court.

Chautauqua County sheriff's officials filed charges late Monday against Joshua Vanbuskirk, 33, of Forestville, and Franklin Silvagnia, 25, of Silver Creek, following a raid Friday that ended a five-month investigation into drug sales from a Forestville home. Sheriff's officials, as well as police from Dunkirk and Jamestown, executed a search warrant Friday for 10925 Dennison Road, Hanover. Vanbuskirk and Silvagnia were allegedly found inside the home. Officers said they seized 14.8 grams of crack cocaine, 12.79 grams of fentanyl, scales and packaging materials used in the sale and distribution of narcotics, and $1,055. Both Vanbuskirk and Silvagnia were charged with four counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminal use of drug paraphernalia. They were transported to the county jail for arraignment.

In a third incident, a Jamestown woman was charged with fifth-degree unlawful possession of a controlled substance, a felony, around 4:25 p.m. Monday after officers were called to a home on the east side to assist Chautauqua County probation officers. Evans was allegedly found with cocaine. She was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
