Charges against man for sexual assault in Lancaster County dropped

A man accused of sexually assaulting a woman in Lancaster County in 2021 had the charges and history of the incident expunged from his record last month, court documents show.

Shawn Baker, 56, of Naples, Florida, was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, sexual assault, two counts of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault and false imprisonment after inviting a woman and a mutual friend to his East Petersburg home for food and drinks.

The expungement, signed on July 18, states that all law enforcement agencies must destroy Baker's arrest records and criminal history related to the 2021 incident.

The Pennsylvania Attorney General's office is permitted to retain copies of Baker's records to assist him in a civil lawsuit he filed against the office and one of its special agents.

The expungement document also noted that Baker was found not guilty at trial.
