Convicted murderer on parole guilty of stabbing Portland woman who owed him money

A convicted murderer was found guilty last week of stabbing a woman to death because she failed to pay her debt to him.

Steven Knox stabbed his friend Jessica Pearson, who owed him money, to death on March 14 in front of her apartment in the Buckman district. The 55-year-old was arrested in August and convicted of second-degree assault by a Multnomah County jury on August 21. The jury acquitted Knox of attempted murder.
