Hockley Street stabbing suspect charged with murder of ex-girlfriend

HOUSTON – Houston police said charges have been filed against a suspect in connection with the death of a woman on August 17 in southeast Houston.

Oscar Daniel Vega Espinoza, 34, is charged with murder and tampering with evidence, court records show. Vega Espinoza is not currently in custody.

According to police, the victim, a 30-year-old woman, was found in the water near the bank of the Brays Bayou Greenway Trail. She appeared to have injuries consistent with stab wounds.\

Investigators reported that Vega Espinoza was the victim's ex-boyfriend.
