Shooting in League City: 1 dead, 1 hospitalized after shooting on E Winn Street

LEAGUE CITY, Texas – League City police are investigating after a woman was killed in a shooting in the Kemah area Tuesday morning.

Officers from the League City Police Department (LCPD) arrived at the 1900 block of E Winn Street around 9:45 a.m. after receiving reports of shots fired in the area and found a woman and a man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Authorities from the LCPD attempted to save the woman's life, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene. The man was transported by EMS to a local hospital for further treatment.

An adult male suspect was arrested at the scene by League City Police Department officers and is being investigated as a suspected shooting suspect, authorities report.

The investigation is ongoing and the police are on site collecting details.
