Bellevue police ask for help identifying suspects in July Wells Fargo robbery

Bellevue police are asking the public for help in identifying suspects possibly connected to a bank robbery last month.

On July 17 at around 4:46 p.m., police responded to a bank robbery in progress at Wells Fargo in the 2200 block of 156th Avenue NE. Bellevue police said the bank teller told officers the suspect, a young man in his late 20s or early 30s, allegedly handed them a note that read “This is a robbery” and demanded large amounts of cash.

Police said after the bank teller handed over the cash, the suspect left the bank and walked north along 156th Avenue NE.

Bellevue police said they are also looking for another suspect in connection with the incident, a young woman in her late 20s or early 30s. According to their investigation, the woman was seen with the man before and after the robbery. During the robbery, she also allegedly shoplifted at a nearby store, police said.

Bellevue police said anyone who recognizes one or both suspects should contact Detective Sergeant Jeff Disney at [email protected] or 425-577-5656.
