Kaos is coming soon to Netflix and in the black comedy, Jeff Goldblum plays Zeus, king of the gods. When he becomes paranoid and believes his power is waning, he sets off a chain of catastrophic events that could mean the end of the world.

The eight-part series features an all-star cast including Janet McTeer, David Thewlis and Stephen Dillane, all playing gods. As a family, their rule is threatened by people on Earth who crave change.

Four mortals in particular, Riddy (Aurora Perrineau), Orpheus (Killian Scott), Caneus (Misia Butler) and Ari (Leila Farzad), are cosmically linked in the fight against Zeus. They are destined to overthrow the gods, and they are on their own journeys to find out how.

The mythological series is inspired by characters from Greek mythology and filming began in Spain in August 2022. The series is scheduled to be released on Netflix on August 29.

Since its first announcement in 2018, there has been huge hype surrounding the series, which Charlie Covell served as creator and executive producer.

Some big names have signed on for the role. Hugh Grant was originally set to play Zeus, but had to cancel due to scheduling issues.

In July 2022, he was replaced in the lead role by Jurassic Park star Jeff Goldblum, with filming taking place a few months later.

Viewers will be happy to hear that all eight episodes will be released simultaneously on the streaming platform, meaning a weekend marathon is possible.

Netflix is ​​releasing new shows at midnight in the US, meaning fans across the pond can watch them starting at midnight on August 29th.
