Emporia police investigate fireworks damage

EMPORIA, Kansas (WIBW) – Emporia Police are investigating a case of unauthorized fireworks set off in Emporia Monday night, according to a news release from KVOE Radio.

According to Emporia Fire Capt. Willie Ward, firefighters responded to fireworks-caused damage to a bathroom at Las Casitas Park around 7 p.m.

There are no reports of injuries. Further details are pending and information on the suspect has not been released at this time.
