One dead and three injured in plane crash in Seneca County

SENECA Co., Ohio (WTVG) – One person was killed and three others were injured in a two-vehicle crash in Seneca County Tuesday afternoon.

According to a press release from the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP), 28-year-old Destiny Stines was a passenger in one of the vehicles involved in a crash around 12:30 p.m. According to the press release, she was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was killed in the crash.

OSHP officials said a car driven by Sarah Law, 25, was traveling east on State Route 18 around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. At the same time, a car driven by John Adcock III, 46, was traveling south on Township Road 15. Adcock III failed to stop at a stop sign and struck Law. After the crash, the vehicle driven by Adcock III struck a sign and overturned in a field.

According to the press release, Adcock III and another passenger, Chavis Freeman, were not wearing seat belts at the time of the crash and were both flown to a nearby hospital with serious injuries.

Law suffered minor injuries and was taken to Tiffin Mercy Health.

The crash is currently being investigated.
