Sunset Jams concerts return for Friday night entertainment this fall

Sunset Jams, a free weekly celebration of music, food and community, returns to Rash Field Park for its second year, beginning September 6, 2024 and running through October 25, 2024. Concerts will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore has announced the return of its weekly Friday night concert series, featuring a different Baltimore musician each week. This fall's lineup includes Scott Patterson and the Kojo Red, Caleb Stine, Todd Marcus, Roses N Rust, Black Assets and others, who will perform at the park's BGE Pavilion, giving visitors a chance to end their week with the sounds of Baltimore and the beautiful sights of Baltimore's Inner Harbor.

“We are excited to bring our community together this fall with live music, vibrant art and a variety of great food at Rash Field Park,” said Laurie Schwartz, president of the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore. “This event is a continuation of our efforts to celebrate Baltimore's unique culture and creative spirit, provide a platform for local artists and foster connections within our neighborhoods.”

In addition to sights and sounds, Sunset Jams also caters to the taste buds with a rotating selection of food trucks, including Fuzzies, Craving Potato Food Truck and, new this year, Koshary Corner with vegan and vegetarian options at each show. Also new this year is new Rash Field Cafe tenant One Do Coffee Roasters, which will be testing three new cocktails and selling beer and wine at each event.

Musicians like Scott Patterson will offer attendees a mix of R&B, indie and soul, and NU30X's Caribbean Soul Experience will bring the tropical island sounds of steel drums to the party. Sunset Jams will kick off on September 6th with the unique sound of Todd Marcus' quartet, as Marcus is one of the few bass clarinetists in the world.

The full lineup of the 2024 Sunset Jams series includes the following artists:

  • 6 September: Todd Marcus: Composer and instrumentalist Jazz Quartet
  • 13 September: Barnyard Sharks: Indie pop band
  • 20 September: Black Assets: Singer/Singer-Songwriter
