5,000 images of child pornography and zoophilia found on devices of former Stafford Marine

STAFFORD, VA — A former U.S. Marine from Stafford was found guilty of child pornography in federal court Monday after investigators found thousands of images of young children engaged in sexual acts and zoophilia.

Eman Goodwin, 33, used the messaging app Kik to search for child sexual abuse material in February 2021. Goodwin asked the child porn producer and distributor for images of children “younger than high school years” and “12 years and younger,” according to federal prosecutors.

When FBI agents searched Goodwin's home, clothing and car on March 24, 2022, they found 21 electronic devices. Investigators said Goodwin used two laptops to download child sexual abuse material from the internet and saved the images on a hard drive, court records show.

According to prosecutors, the hard drive contained nearly 5,000 images and videos showing children, including prepubescent teenagers, engaging in sexually explicit behavior and bestiality. Goodwin also stored hundreds of files containing child sexual abuse material on three cell phones.

Goodwin's sentencing is scheduled for December 13, and he faces a minimum sentence of five years in prison, according to a press release.
