Geneva man charged with assault with a vehicle after hitting person with his car – Finger Lakes Daily News

A 48-year-old man who was struck by a car in the town of Geneva is in guarded condition at Strong Memorial Hospital.

The crash occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday morning in the area of ​​Exchange and Lewis streets, according to police. The driver of the car, 26-year-old Zachary Doerr of Geneva, was charged with aggravated assault. He was also charged with drunken driving after his blood alcohol content was found to be 0.17 percent.

Doerr also received a ticket for speeding and for carrying an open bottle of alcohol in the car.
