A 25-year-old man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison for burglaries, thefts and sexual assaults in Tempe last year.

The Maricopa County Attorney's Office said Djimon Boggs will also have to register as a sex offender after his release from prison.

Boggs pleaded guilty last month to charges including burglary, sexual abuse and attempted sexual abuse, according to a news release from the MCAO.

Between September and October, Boggs raided a Tempe neighborhood three times for unlocked homes, MCAO officials said. When he entered the home, he threatened his victims and attempted to sexually assault them.

“Two of the victims were able to scream for help; one was sexually assaulted at gunpoint,” the press release states.

Boggs was sentenced to 12.5 years for burglary and 12.5 years for sexual assault. He received lifetime probation for the other two counts of attempted sexual assault.
