Breaking news: Second young man dies after tragic accident in Inishowen

A second young man has died in the horrific road accident on the R240 near Cross in Quigley's Point last Saturday evening.

Kian Dawson, 16, died at the scene of the accident.

A second young man, in his early 20s, was taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast with critical injuries.

Gardai announced this afternoon that this young man, believed to be the driver, has also died.

Gardaí continue to appeal for any witnesses to this collision to come forward.

Any road users who may have camera footage (including dashboard cameras) and who were travelling in the area at the time are asked to please make this footage available to investigating Gardaí.
