4 suspects charged in fatal July 5 stabbing in Hyattsville

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Four suspects have been arrested and charged in connection with a fatal stabbing in Hyattsville in July.

On July 5 at approximately 9:35 a.m., officers from the Hyattsville City Police Department were called to the 5300 block of Ager Road to conduct a welfare check. They found 34-year-old Samuel Garcia Rojas injured in a vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates the victim was stabbed following an argument.

The suspects are 18-year-old Daniel Villanueva Bautista of Washington, DC, 23-year-old Maxwel Quijano Casco of Hyattsville, 28-year-old Josue Lainez of Columbia and 29-year-old David Perlera-Gonzalez of Highland. They are charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges.
