Due to her health problems, Vicki Gunvalson has “virtually fainted” and “remembers nothing.”

On August 26, 2024, Vicki participated in her podcast, My friend, my soulmate, my podcastto discuss the sudden changes in her health. During the podcast, she said the health crisis began on Thursday, August 22, when she was with one of her clients from Coto Insurance. While speaking to the client, she began “talking gibberish,” after which the client informed Vicki's boyfriend, Michael Smith's daughter Olivia, that Vicki “may have suffered a stroke,” according to People.

Olivia then took the Bravo star to the hospital, but Vicki said she couldn't remember the trip.

“I don’t remember anything, and [Olivia] took me to the hospital,” she recalls.

Vicki said doctors sent her home from the hospital that same day because they thought it was a sinus infection. However, Michael, who joined Vicki and her co-host Christian Grey Snow on the podcast, said he later found her “pretty unconscious” in a bathtub, which he said was “one of the scariest” moments of his life. Michael then contacted her doctor, who told him she needed to sleep, which she did “literally for 13, 14 hours straight,” according to Michael. However, he struggled to wake her up the next day.

Michael and Vicki returned to the hospital in the morning, where she was diagnosed with a “massive infection.” She said the infection caused memory loss and compared it to how the brain goes into “rest mode” when someone has a “stroke or post-traumatic stress disorder.” While Michael admitted the situation was “very dangerous” and “very scary,” Vicki said she was “OK,” although her energy was “super low” as she worked to get well again.
