China Star Entertainment reports rising losses

China Star Entertainment (HK:0326) has released an update.

China Star Entertainment Limited has issued a profit warning and expects a consolidated loss of HK$115 million to HK$135 million for the first half of 2024, a significant increase from the loss of HK$82.4 million in the same period in 2023. The increase in losses is mainly due to higher marketing and personnel costs in the property sales and entertainment divisions. Investors are advised to exercise caution when trading the company's shares.
