Man killed in shooting in Miami-Dade's Goulds neighborhood

MIAMI DADE COUNTY, Florida. – A man died of his injuries after being shot multiple times in the Goulds neighborhood of Miami-Dade County early Tuesday morning, authorities confirmed.

According to Detective Andre Martin, who is also a spokesman for the police department, officers responded to the area of ​​Southwest 119th Avenue and 224th Street around 2:40 a.m. after receiving a ShotSpotter alert.

He said officers found a man with numerous gunshot wounds at the scene.

Miami-Dade Fire Department transported the victim to Jackson South Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries.
