Charges aggravated after death of robbery victim in Jackson

A man who was attacked last week has died, and his alleged attacker is now facing aggravated charges.

Jackson Police were called to an aggravated assault that occurred in the 300 block of Northside Drive last Tuesday. They found Dennis Watson had been assaulted. He was taken to UMC in critical condition.

The suspect, Jeremy Ware, was arrested at the scene and charged with aggravated assault.

Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries on Monday. The charge against Jeremy Ware has been upgraded to a capital offense.
