Man dead, teenager in critical condition after shooting in northeast Indy

INDIANAPOLIS – A man is dead and a teenager is in critical condition after a shooting Monday night in northeast Indianapolis.

According to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department, officers responded to a report of a person shot around 9:30 p.m. in the 7400 block of Shadeland Avenue, the parking lot of a shopping center with several stores, including Dollar Tree.

When officers arrived, they found two victims with gunshot wounds in a vehicle. One victim, an adult male, was pronounced dead. A juvenile victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

The incident is currently still under investigation.
